Read over your paper with a tutor. Identify the pattern of grammatical errors. Then, fill out the Error Log with each category of errors. For example, if you include several run-on sentences in your paper, fill in the first blank with one of these sentences. List the name of the error, and write the rule in the 3rd blank. Finally, write the corrected sentence.
When you write your papers, use this log as a way to identify your own errors. Your record-keeping should pay off as you learn to edit your own papers.
