Shared Curriculum Overview
Our values require deliberate pedagogical methods including team teaching, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary approaches to the arts, humanities, sciences, and faith. These components comprise the courses shared by all EMU students. (36 Semester Hours )
Interdisciplinary Foundation
Five interdisciplinary courses provides the foundation for and connections

Anabaptist Faith, Bible, Religion, and Cross-cultural courses comprise these
five courses that are unique to a Mennonite university. [more...]
Academic Skills and Competencies
This component includes a writing and a speech course. Two additional Writing
Intensive designated course are required. A Mathematics competency exam ensures
basic proficiency in this key area. [more...]
Community Learning
Community Learning designated focus courses are classes students would normally
take as part of their curriculum but which include an emphasis on involvement
within the surrounding community. Three of these are required throughout four
