| determine the email address you will use for your EMU correspondence and make sure it stays active as we will use it to communicate with you throughout the application process |

fill out an application: or call 1-800-368-2665 for a paper application |
||
| make copies of all application materials for your own records |
||
High school records |
||
| (optional for Canadian students) arrange to take the SAT I or ACT examination and have your test results sent directly to EMU from: the College Board (SAT EMU code: 5181) the American College Testing (ACT EMU code: 4348) |
||
| ask your high school guidance counselor to mail your official transcripts along with official SAT I or ACT scores. If you have a GED, please send a copy of your certificate. |

| if you have taken or are currently taking Advanced Placement classes, request exam scores be sent to EMU |
||
College or University transfer credit |
||
| request an official transcript from each college or university you have attended and have it sent to EMU, as well as any college-level courses taken while attending high school |
||
| print and complete the Student Life recommendation form if you have been a resident student at a college or university and have it sent to EMU |
