Beginning steps

determine the email address you will use for your EMU correspondence and make sure it stays active as we will use it to communicate with you throughout the application process

fill out an application:

or call 1-800-368-2665 for a paper application

make copies of all application materials for your own records

High school records

(optional for Canadian students) arrange to take the SAT I or ACT examination and have your test results sent directly to EMU from:

the College Board (SAT EMU code: 5181)

the American College Testing (ACT EMU code: 4348)

ask your high school guidance counselor to mail your official transcripts along with official SAT I or ACT scores. If you have a GED, please send a copy of your certificate.

if you have taken or are currently taking Advanced Placement classes, request exam scores be sent to EMU

College or University transfer credit

request an official transcript from each college or university you have attended and have it sent to EMU, as well as any college-level courses taken while attending high school

print and complete the Student Life recommendation form if you have been a resident student at a college or university and have it sent to EMU
