My cross cultural experience:
I still have not gone on my cross cultural, but I will be attending the Guatemala excursion in the Spring of 2008.
My favorite campus activity:
There are always so many things to do on campus, but I think my overall favorite activity is the CAC movies. They always show really good, up to date movies. My friends and I try to go every weekend!
My favorite class at EMU (and why):
Exploring Teaching because, well as my family says, I was a born teacher. Plus I loved spending time with the elementary school kids!
My favorite EMU memory so far:
That’s a hard one, since I’ve built up so many since being here. But I guess finishing my last exam first semester was a really great memory. The feeling was so gratifying and it felt good knowing that I could survive a semester in college.
My favorite intramural season:
I haven’t done a whole lot of intramurals this year, but I did enjoy floor hockey last fall.
My favorite reason to get off campus:
Going shopping, of course :-)
My favorite residence hall:
I think I would have to say Maplewood. Even though there’s no air conditioning and only three washing machines for the entire building, the people are really fun and friendly, and it’s always a good time!
The most surprising thing about EMU:
Even though EMU is such a small school, they never cease to amaze me at how many things there are to do around campus. And when my friends and I stay in on Friday and Saturday nights, it’s because we want to, not because we have nothing better to do!
