My favorite campus activity:

I do not have a favorite campus activity; each activity is unique and different, and I always get a kick out of going to them.

My favorite class at EMU (and why):

My favorite class at EMU is either British Literature or Intro to Politics. Both classes have intense professors and I feel mentally stretched each time I step into the classroom. Dan Wessner forces me to question my political beliefs I held before. Michael in British Literature, helps me become a more critical thinker and pushes me to dive deeper into a text.

My favorite intramural season:

I am only a freshman, so I have only played in Floor Hockey. If any other intermural is half as fun as Floor Hockey, I am going to still have a blast!

My favorite EMU memory so far:

I have so many memories already in my month to two month stay, that I don’t really know which memory to pick. I could pick the midnight runs to IHOP every Wednesday, or I could choose laughing hysterically at the Gonzo theater, or I could choose just hanging out under the stars talking with my new found friends. The list is endless.

My favorite reason to get off campus:

Once again, I must state the IHOP runs at midnight, but they are not my only reason to get off campus. Last weekend I went hiking/camping with some honors members over night. I have also went to the EMU v. Goshen game in Lancaster. That turned out to be a blast, and I had never been to a soccer game before that (my high school had football, not soccer). Of all these, I think I liked hiking/camping the best.

My favorite residence hall:

ELMWOOD!!! Elmwood is loud, fun, and awesome. The girls on my hall (3rd south) and the girls on 3rd north are amazing individuals. My C.A. and her roommate and my M.A. and her roommate are both helpful, friendly, and I can tell they genuinely care about me. I feel comfortable enough to wander in and out of their rooms and talking to them about my day. Elmwood also has two halls of boys on the first and second floors. I frequently visit them because many of the boys remind me of my youth group boys back at home.

The most surprising thing about EMU:

We have dances? This kind of took me by suprise because we are a MENNONITE school. I grew up Mennonite and love the fact that they have dances here. In fact, this Saturday there is a Salsa dance, hosted by the Latin Student Club.
