Why I came to EMU
I swore to myself that I would never attend a Mennonite college, but a close friend persuaded me to make a visit to EMU. Once here, my perspective changed completely. I fell in love with the people and the atmosphere. It offered an environment for me to be equally involved in intercollegiate athletics, music, and strong academics.
My favorite EMU memories
Top of my list is that I met my wife here! I also had an incredible cross-cultural trip to Ireland, had awesome experiences on EMU’s baseball team, and loved participating in EMU’s Chamber Singers group.
Favorite things to do in Harrisonburg
Frequenting the amazing local restaurants and exploring downtown. I also love the beautiful views of the mountains.
What some of my EMU friends are up to
Working as a nurse at UVA, working in human resources at Dynamic Aviation, attending graduate school, working as a manager at A Bowl of Good, and many friends have found work teaching in local schools through practicum and student teaching experiences.
