Why I came to EMU

I am passionate about EMU’s mission of training global Christian leaders and I love the cross-cultural courses! The small size of the campus also means we have amazing community and students can work 1 on 1 with professors who really know and care about them.

Favorite thing to do in Harrisonburg

Go to the Farmer’s Market Saturday mornings, Fridays on the Square (during the summer months), take dance lessons at Karen’s, hang out at the library, visit the cats at Cat’s Cradle, and scour the thrift shops for great deals on clothes!

Favorite thing in the Shenandoah Valley

I am super excited about the Contra Dances at the Dayton Learning Center. I also enjoy driving out West 33 in West Virginia and going rock hopping in the river. Someday I will also go camping!

Anything else you should know about me?

I am a world traveler and love international students! Having spent some time in South America, I am fluent in Spanish. I also love being involved in student life, so you may see me at events around campus, working out in the gym, or playing in the EMU orchestra. (oh, and GO PHILLIES and EAGLES!)
