The Loyal Royals are a group of persons interested in and committed to the development of young people through athletics at Eastern Mennonite University. Activities of the Loyal Royals are coordinated by a Steering Committee working in cooperation with the Alumni Relations Office and Athletic Department.

The Loyal Royals are the sponsoring organization for the Hall of Honor which annually inducts former athletes into the Hall and/or retires athletic jerseys. They also sponsor activities for parents of athletes, provide entertainment at home games and provide funding for special projects and events beyond the athletic budget.

Along with promoting EMU athletics and building relationships in the community, the Loyal Royals raise funds to support their activities and the EMU Athletic Department. The two major fundraisers are the Paul R. Yoder Sr. Golf Classic held each year in connection with Homecoming Weekend and the annual phonathon held each September. Special projects have included; softball field renovation, message board on turf field, establishment of endowment fund, and golf carts and concession trailer.

EMU Historical Hall of Honor

The Historical Hall of Honor was added during the fall of the 2007 school year. Thanks to the efforts of Dr. John Horst, Dave King, Jon Styer, and the EMU Athletic and Marketing departments, the Historical Hall of Honor gives Royal fans a look back on athletics at EMU during their infancy.
