Our 18th season takes place June 13-20, 2010!

Versatile folk musician John McCutcheon will be featured with festival musicians during the 18th annual event in performances of his own music. Award-winning singer, songwriter, composer, teacher, archivist, activist, author and poet, McCutcheon is sure to add a special touch to this year’s festival.

Vocal soloists Anne Gross, Heidi Kurtz, Joel Ross and James Richardson will be showcased under the capable leadership of artistic director and conductor Kenneth J. Nafziger. Marvin Mills, organist and assistant choir director, will again be an integral part of the week’s festivities.

Enjoy exciting concerts with music by Johann Sebastian Bach, John McCutcheon, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Samuel Barber, Frédéric Chopin, Osvaldo Golijov, Gustav Mahler, Robert Schumann and others.

This season’s highlights include three Festival Concerts, six noon-time chamber music concerts, the beloved Leipzig Service, the Virginia Baroque Performance Academy, Elderhostel/Exploritas, and youth programs.
