Jay Chadwick, horn, has combined a passion for playing the French horn with a full time legal career. Jay studied the French horn at the College of William and Mary with David Wick of the Virginia Symphony, and maintains an active symphonic and chamber music performance schedule in Northern Virginia. In addition to serving as principal horn of the Avanti Chamber Orchestra and second horn of the McLean Orchestra, Jay frequently performs with his brass quintet (The King Street Brass), his wind quintet (The Patagonia Winds), and other chamber ensembles. When not practicing the horn, Jay practices commercial real estate law in the Northern Virginia office of Venable LLP. Jay also serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia, and is the past-President of the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association.

This is Jay’s tenth season performing at the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival.
