Purchase seats online!

To avoid fees for online ticket purchases, you may also call the box office and pay with your Visa, MasterCard or Discover over the phone. We can hold your tickets until you can pick them up, put them in will call for the day of the event, or simply mail them to you.

For ticket and reservation information to EMU theater productions, Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir, and the Bach Festival, contact our office by phone at (540) 432-4582 or visit us in the lower level of the University Commons (see map), immediately on the right past the staircases.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Many music productions are offered for a free-will offering benefiting music scholarship funds. Please contact the music department for information about these events.

 

BACH 2008

The 2008 Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival will be taking place June 8-15. Festival Concert I will be held Sunday, June 8, 3:00 p.m., Festival Concert II will be held Friday, June 13, 7:30 p.m., and Fesitval Concert III will be held Saturday, June14, 7:30 p.m. All performances are at Lehman Auditorium.
The Bach Festival's sixteenth season will highlight string music with internationally acclaimed artists Eugene Friesen and Michael Partington and the festival orchestra and choir. Experience Friesen's unusual Cello Man show, geared for audiences of all ages. Hear several of his original compositions for orchestra and choir displaying his unique sound. Enjoy Partington's lyrical and engaging guitar performances of concertos by Rodrigo and Castelnuovo-Tedesco. The Ginastera harp concerto and works by Vaughan Williams add to the charm of the 2008 festival as it showcases a variety of string music, the music of Bach and other composers, and solo and chamber works. Under the direction of Kenneth J. Nafziger, this season's festival has many exciting surprises awaiting you.

How can I apply for Box Office services?
The Box Office seeks to provide quality ticket services for departmental programs. In order to best serve you, we require submission of the application form at least one week prior to the beginning date for ticket sales. Please send this completed form to the EMU Box Office or submit it via email to boxoffice@emu.edu.

What are the box office hours?
The box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:30am - 2:30pm. The box office will not be open if there are no events taking place. The box office is also closed when the university is closed. There are no weekend hours.

Where is the Box Office located?
In the University Commons on the first floor the first right as you enter the front doors. University Commons, Eastern Mennonite University, 1307 Park Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22802

How can I purchase tickets?
In order to purchase tickets please stop by the box office or call(540-432-4582) and speak with a box office staff member during regular box office hours. You can also purchase tickets online at the link on the top of this page.

What if I get the voicemail when I call in?
If you receive the voicemail during office hours, our staff is working with another customer. Please leave a detailed message including name, event wanting tickets for, phone number during the day, how many tickets, and the performance date and time. Our staff will return your call as soon as possible. Please note leaving a message does not reserve your ticket, even if it is a complimentary ticket. If you call outside of office hours your call will be returned the next day.

Can I charge my tickets to my student/staff account?
The box office is not able to charge to accounts but does take Visa, Mastercard, cash and check.
