Elmer Ediger Memorial Scholarship

Granted by Mennonite Health Services for graduate students pursuing careers in mental health fields in both Canada and the US. Between $1,000 and 1,2000 for four to six students.

Candidate qualifications:

Other factors considered are service experience, attendance at a church- related college, and financial need.

Application deadline: February 1, 2001.

Winners will be announced by April 30, 2001.

The Pew Yonger Scholars Program at the University of Notre Dame Summer Seminars 2001

The Pew Younger Scholars Program is looking for intellectually gifted Christian students who are interested in the possiblility of pursuing an academic career and exploring the relationship between Christianity and scholarship. The 2001 Semmer Seminars are for persons who have completed at least three years of undergraduate studies and will not begin any graduate education before 2003. (Several EMU students have gotten these scholarships in recent years.) Scholarship plus $750 stipend.

Seminars in science and theology, philosphy, economics, sociology, history, English.
