Grandfathering Provision
Grandfathering applications for practitioners will be accepted until June 30, 2013. Additional requirements must be completed by December 31, 2013.
- What does grandfathering mean for STAR Level II, SATs, and Master Trainers?
It means that those who have taken a second level of STAR (by any name) between 2006 and August of 2012 do not need to repeat the training to apply for practitioner status. Submit the Practitioner application or Certified Trainer application application by June 30, 2013 to and fulfill the practitioner requirements by December 30, 2013 in order to take advantage of the grandfathering provision.
We regret that the grandfathering provision cannot include those who have taken Intermediate STAR, STAR TOT, associate training, or STAR II prior to 2006. STAR content and methodology have changed significantly over the years. To qualify as a STAR practitioner, join us for Level II training and then apply to be a practitioner.
