Food service on the EMU campus is provided by Pioneer College Caterers, Inc. Arrangements for food service are made with Auxiliary Services.
We offer full-service catered meals or banquets, buffets and small receptions, or buffet service in the dining hall. See the catering guide for selection and prices.
Four dining rooms are located on the lower level of Northlawn, which is air-conditioned:
- The Main Dining Room seats 320.
- The East Dining Room seats 30.
- The South Dining Room seats 16.
- The West Dining Room seats 54.

|Supper||5 – 6 p.m.|
These times may be negotiated based on the size of your group and other groups on campus. In order for us to handle your conference/event and others that may be on campus as efficiently as possible, we ask that you adhere to the agreed-upon meal times strictly.
To assist Pioneer College Caterers as they prepare for your event, we require that you provide us with a meal estimate two weeks prior to your arrival and a final guarantee three business days prior. You will be billed based on the number of meals consumed or the final meal guarantee, whichever is greater. We use various methods to track the number of meals you use and we’ll discuss which is most appropriate for your group prior to your arrival.
During the summer months there are typically three menu options:
- Standard menu
- Child-friendly menu
- Enhanced menu
The dining hall is all-you-can-eat buffet-style, but we ask that you be good stewards and take only as much as you can eat to reduce waste.
