Lancaster, PA viewing of film "Pray the Devil Back to Hell"

"Pray the Devil Back to Hell" is the extraordinary story of a small band of Liberian women who came together in the midst of a bloody civil war, took on the corrupt Charles Taylor regime, and won a long-awaited peace for their shattered country in 2003.  A leader in her native country of Liberia, Leymah Gbowee organized hundereds of women to protest the civil war from 2003 to 2005 and was successful in pressuring those at the negotiating table to come to agreement to end the war.  In the middle of her campaign, she attended the Summer Peacebuilding Institute (SPI 2004).  Later she obtained her MA in Conflict Transformation through the Center for Justice and Peaceubuilding at EMU, graduating in 2007.
