Scholarship Latino Initiative Kick off Luncheon!

Where Dining Hall, West Dining Hall

Duration 3 hours

If you will be a sophomore next fall, this may interest you!

EMU is partnering with Scholar Latino Initiative (SLI) to launch a mentoring program for bright, undocumented Latino students from Harrisonburg High. This program would make college possible for up to three new Latino students every year.

Sandy Mercer, who is coordinating for SLI the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of SLI, will be at EMU along with Mr. Peter Kauffman (founder) as well as a number of SLI mentors from the University of Richmond and their mentees, some of whom are getting ready to graduate from college. Mrs. Mercer as well as Mr. Kauffman will be there to enthusiastically tell you about SLI! They’ll be prepared to answer your questions. Lunch is free! to all participants (including Faculty!).

This program will be launched here at EMU ONLY if we have enough students willing to step up to the opportunity!

I look forward to see you there. Please RSVP asap.

Blessings!
