Dr. Peter N. Stearns Lecture on Changes in Obedience and Children’s Emotion: From Traditional to Modern in 19th-Century America
Dr. Stearn is a prominent historian, a pioneer in social, cultural and world history and founder of the Journal of Social History. He has authored many, many books on a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to the Industrial Revolution, emotions, childhood, modernity and gender. His most recent book is Satisfaction Not Guaranteed: Dilemmas of Progress in Modern Society (2012)
Dr. Peter N. Stearns is Professor of History and Provost of George Mason University.
