Earthquake Drill: EMU Participats in Great Southeast Shake Out
When Thursday October 17, 2013 @ 10:17 AM (tomorrow)
Duration 13 minutes
Each fall EMU participates in the state-wide emergency preparedness event “The Great Southeast Shake Out” to review what to do in the unlikely event of an earthquake.
The short answer? DROP, COVER, HOLD!
EMU’s earthquake response link on the crisis home page (emu.edu/crisis) has information, a video and details.
The state-wide event is scheduled for Oct. 17 at 10:17 a.m. (get it?). At that time a notification will come across the HEARO emergency radio devices in each building on campus. At that time, or another time during the day, we encourage everyone to take time to review the content on the EMU website and visit the state-sponsored website if you’d like even more information.
Thank you for helping us to be a safe campus!
This is supported by the EMU Crisis Management Preparedness Team, chaired by Ken L. Nafziger, vice president of student life and dean of students.
