Veteran's Day Dialogue: The Silent Witness

Where Common Grounds Coffee House

Duration 1 hour 30 minutes

We hope that you have observed our project this month for Veterans Day and it has provoked powerful reactions in you. As of Veteran’s Day, there will be two hundred and forty-two dog tags hanging in the tree on the north lawn of campus to represent the twenty-two veterans a day who take their own lives. On the evening of Veteran’s Day, we will be hosting an evening dialogue and vigil about veteran suicide, including a presentation by CJP graduate student Katrina Gehman of some of her research on veteran reintegration into society post-Iraq and Afghanistan as well as stories shared by some of our own veterans, including CJP graduate student Michael McAndrew. Please join us for this evening of dialogue and reflection, to honor those who have paid the ultimate price of war.
