Information Meeting - Suter Science Site and Traffic Circle Changes

Blue Ridge Architects will share preliminary planning ideas and gather EMU employee and student responses related to site changes coming to the southeast campus quadrant with the Suter Science renovations and the City of Harrisonburg’s plans for a traffic circle at Park Rd, Chicago Ave and Mt Clinton Pike.

Topics to be presented will include:

  1. Landscaping and grounds around Suter Science building
  2. Sustainable design for storm water management and parking
  3. Pedestrian, bike, vehicle and public transportation integration
  4. Mount Clinton Pike entrance to campus

A short presentation will begin at 3:15pm led by Randy Seitz, president of Blue Ridge Architects, and then poster areas will be available to provide information and facilitate conversation. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak personally with architects and EMU planners and builders.

Participants will be encouraged to share feedback at the meeting in person, in written form and/or online at the Suter Science Center renovation blog. A small assortment of free snacks will be served. Beverages will be available for purchase.
