Pat and her husband Earl lived in Vietnam (‘66-’69 & ‘73-’75) They lived (‘79-’82) with their three children, in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, in the large southern island of the Philippines, Mindanao.

Their experiences in societies so different from their childhood Mennonite communities and culture opened up for them new ways of looking at the world and at themselves.
