Deirdre Longacher Smeltzer

Deirdre Smeltzer has been part of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Eastern Mennonite University since 1998. This marks a return to Deirdre’s alma mater; Deirdre earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at EMU in 1987. Prior to joining the EMU faculty, Deirdre taught for four years at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Her graduate education was at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, VA, where she earned a Master’s degree and PhD in mathematics.
