Only 9 Days Until Break!
December 07, 2005
It's Wednesday, December 7. Only nine more days until Christmas break. This semester has gone so fast, yet these last few weeks seem to take forever! Everyone is frantically trying to write papers and finish up assignments before the semester draws to a close. I have one more paper to finish, and a drawing assigment to complete. After that, it's basically free sailing...
Even though the next days will be somewhat stressful, there will be lots of enjoyable events as well. There will be various Christmas parties on campus, decorations are springing up everywhere, and there are other random events, such as the midnight breakfast tomorrow night. I will also have a lot of free time during finals week, since I only have one final on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and two on Wednesday.
I'm really looking foward to having a break from school where I don't have any homework to do. In high school, I always had some paper to write or some book to read. It will be nice to have the extra time to catch up with friends and family, and to just relax. I'm looking foward to having the whole family home for Christmas. Maria and her fiance Jesse will be home, and my brother Dave will be as well. Dave has been travelling around the world for the past fourteen months, and will return in less than two weeks. I can't wait to see him. (check out his website vivaelviaje.com to find out more about his trip.)
Winter is suddenly here. It is much colder, and we even got snow on Monday! It was a really beautiful snow; it was light and powdery yet clung to everything. The past two days have been warmer, so much of it has melted already.
