ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

Department of ... Voice

POSITION: Three-quarter to full-time, continuing faculty position in voice.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate preferred, master's degree required. Performance experience expected. Ongoing professional experience/scholarship expected. Ability to work collaboratively.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach private voice at university level. Position will include teaching other music courses as needed, according to applicant’s strengths. These courses could include directing the University Chorale and Opera or Musical Theater Scenes course.

COMPENSATION: Nine-month contract. Salary and rank determined by education and experience. EMU uses an extended-contract system.

APPOINTMENT DATE: Position begins fall 2008. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
