POSITION: Head Golf Coach (Men's and Women's team)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience that equates to a degree.

Experience: Minimum of successful high school coaching required. Collegiate coaching preferred.

Special Skills: Skills required include recruiting, relational skills with college students, exceptional communication skills, the ability to teach fundamental and advanced golf skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The head golf coach is responsible to coach, direct, recruit and administer the golf program, which consists of both men's and women's teams, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. He/she must be committed to the values and mission of the university and direct the program in adherence to the rules and regulations of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and Division III of the NCAA.

POSITION DETAILS: The position is for the establishment of the golf program for 2012-2013, for both men's and women's teams. This is a stipend level part time position with the possibility of additional duties. Position will start in Spring of 2012 to begin recruiting, scheduling, and organizing.
