POSITION: Teacher - 2 and 3 year olds

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred

Experience: Understanding of early childhood education within a developmental-interactionist framework.

Special Requirements: The ability to work with children in a caring, nurturing manner is crucial. The position provides a high quality role model for future teachers at all times. Applicants should be in agreement with EMU’s mission, vision, and lifestyle commitment, have a clean criminal record, have a clear TB evaluation, and hold a valid driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The position consists of planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for two and three year olds. Duties include classroom teaching and supervision and management of the classroom, as well as supervising and role modeling for EMU education students. The teacher will communicate with parents to provide a high quality preschool experience.

TERMS : 9-month part-time position
