POSITION: Vice President & Undergraduate Academic Dean
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctoral degree in a discipline in the university
- Leadership and administrative expertise
- A record of teaching and scholarship appropriate for appointment as a full professor
- Familiarity with the Mennonite church
- Commitment to the mission of Mennonite/Anabaptist higher education
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and oversees all undergraduate academic programs of the university. Provides vision for program quality and development, serves as chief academic officer for the undergraduate programs, guides long-range strategic planning for the undergraduate division, manages day-to-day administrative details, recruits and hires quality undergraduate faculty, conducts ongoing program evaluation to demonstrate institutional effectiveness, and represents the work of Eastern Mennonite University to constituents, communicating the needs and interests of the undergraduate division. Supports and leads 16 undergraduate department chairs.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Provost
POSITION DETAILS : Twelve-month, full-time position. Remuneration and benefits commensurate with experience and in accordance with the administrative pay scale.
