This webprofiles the "communities of learning" and students participating in the IC3 learning platform. Each is an agent of change in community. Each has anchor points — experiences, places, values and relations that have helped shape his or her or even an institution's life. Students are invited here to build their own profile of anchor points and meaningful threads.
As John Paul Lederach describes in The Moral Imagination, a spider similarly has anchor points from which it drops resilient threads of gossamer. These are woven together and may then link with another spider's threads from its own anchor points. Together, these independent yet interdependent threads form an amazingly strong web.
This IC3 learning platform offers each participating student and community the opportunity to merge their independent profiles with an interdependent global web. Woven of inter-cultural, language, and development study threads, here is a web of many co-mentors and change agents relating to one another in peace and learning.
The initial "Taking it Further" exercises of Level I lessons guide each participant's writing and uploading of IC3 profile information. At the bottom of your own student profile sketch, you may follow the links to edit your posting. The "communities of learning" links take you to each university's homepage.
