IS Office Changes - December 2007
We are doing it again ... re-arranging the Information Systems office space in the lower level of the Campus Center. Beginning Tuesday, December 11, User Services team members (i.e. Helpdesk) and several other IS department members will temporarily relocate to Lehman Board Room, CC301-302 in the Campus Center.
We will continue to support users during this time, however the length of time it takes for us to respond to your requests may increase as we are working on packing up, moving our work areas and working from temporary locations.
Here is the schedule:
------------------------------------
Monday 12/10 - Cleaning and Packing
Tuesday 12/11, 8:00 - Move into Lehman Board Room
Tuesday 12/11, 9:30 - Help Desk phone moves to Lehman Board Room
------------------------------------
The office space changes include removing several walls in order to more efficiently locate workstations in the 1,200 square foot area which must accomodate twelve of the sixteen IS staff members, office equipment and supplies storage space. The Applications Development team of four persons will continue to be located in CC225 in the Campus Center.
We hope to move back into our office around December 20. Thanks for your patience and understanding during this busy time. It is our hope that the newly configured office space will assist us in providing better service to the entire campus community. We currently process about 1,000 Helpdesk tickets each month from members of the campus community.
We are grateful for the fantastic assistance provided by our fellow employees in Phys Plant. Without their gracious and expert help none of this would be possible. They have been through this so many times with us yet they [seem to] remain ready for the challenge of each of these adventure! Thanks, so much!
