Faculty/Staff Windows XP SP2 Installs by 4/4/05

Microsoft released Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows XP in August of 2004. In addition to fixing bugs and security vulnerabilities, SP2 adds visible features to Windows. SP2 is part of an effort by Microsoft to improve Windows from a security standpoint. As such, it includes a number of changes that reduce the likelihood that a WinXP SP2 computer will be harmed by malicious software (or malware, including viruses, Trojan horses and worms) or a network-borne attack.
