EMU Email Scanning and Filtering

The Information Systems Helpdesk regularly receives questions from users asking what can be done about unwanted email messages. Information Systems has installed software that does a very credible job of scanning email messages and identifies those which are probably spam. We also have several systems that identify email messages that may carry viruses and deletes them before they even get to EMU email users' mailboxes. This article will review the measures that are taken to identify probable spam messages you are receiving and what you can do to manage these messages.
