It will soon be that time of the year – developing budgets for 2006-07 and an article in a future Campus Bulletin will discuss technology budgeting specifics. Overall, Information Systems is pleased with the way we are able to work with you, our fellow employees, on technology matters. What is presented here is intended to clarify a few things that, at times, may not be understood by all technology users on campus.

Significant Email Virus Threats

EMU network administrators noticed a dramatic increase in the number of incoming email messages being rejected by the EMU email servers today (23 NOV 2005). As many as 1,000 messages per hour have been found to have attachments containing the newest Sober worm variant.
