Several times a week fellow EMU employees ask me questions about email messages they receive and why they get messages they judge to be spam. It has also become an almost weekly occurrence that very clever messages are received by EMU employees tempting them to divulge personal, confidential information on a website.

The purpose of this IS Connection article is to answer questions and provide suggestions for handling unexpected email messages.
