To enable us to provide you with the best possible service, please consult the Frequently Asked Questions before contacting the Help Desk.

We also request that you contact the Help Desk rather than an individual IS technician.

The Help Desk currently has 289 open tickets and has resolved 122 tickets in the past seven days.

 

Note for Students

The IS department is committed to providing a functioning network connection to each student who has paid for this service. Although we do not have the resources to help with computer problems that are not related to network access, we strongly recommend taking advantage of the resources on the SelfHelp page.

 

Help Desk Hours

Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

We try to have someone available to take your call as often as possible. When no one is available, our goal is to respond to voicemail messages within an hour.

 

Emergency Problems

During regular business hours, report computer-related emergencies or outages to the Help Desk.

Outside normal Help Desk hours: IS technicians are available for incidents of extreme emergency. If you believe the problem you are encountering warrants bringing a technician on campus (from as much as 15 miles away) you may call the IS emergency number (on campus x4541, off campus 540-432-4541). This call will be received by an IS management person who will decide what type of emergency assistance is needed.
