OS Upgrades
There are many factors that determine when we upgrade operating systems. Infosys manages over 700 computers and we must test all upgrades to ensure that the process will be smooth for each user. We upgraded all Mac computers to OS X summer 2004 and hope to finish upgrading all windows computers to Win XP summer 2005.

Hardware Upgrades
The number of computers at EMU has dramatically increased in the last 5 years. It has taken creativity to manage this growth within budget constraints. Beginning this summer we will be making every effort to implement the four year replacement cycle.

Training
Infosys has limited resources to provide training. We look to outside vendors skilled in specific areas to fill this niche. Departments are asked to fund the cost of training.

Software
Infosys provides certain software applications that are considered universal. This means they are on every EMU computer. When a software application is required by only a few people or department, they will need to provide funding. All software on EMU computers should be purchased through Infosys.

Web Programming
We have increased the amount of web programming available. We are hopeful that more programming projects will be completed.

SIS (AS/400)
Although it seems like an old system due to the green screens, it is a very stable and usable system. The current system meets all our needs and changing from SIS to another system will be expensive. Specifically, it would cost more than $500,000 to change systems.

Services Provided by Infosys
We are often asked to provide hardware or services that are beyond our scope of responsibility. These include:.
