Andrew Millette, C 07

Andrew MilletteWhat motivated you to become a JPCS major?
I felt through a few events in my life that God was leading me to become a jpcs major.

What do you hope you’ll be able to do with your JPCS major?
At this time I beleive that I will be dealing with underprivlidged youth and gang prevention.

What course(s) has been most stimulating or meaningful for you as a JPCS major?
History and Philosophy of Peace and Justice

What are some key learning points you will be taking away from your time at EMU and as a JPCS major?
Learning to see the marginalized people who nobody sees. (The countries that are not in total poverty or even wealthy but have a problem that is missed because everyone sees the wealth.)

Would you recommend EMU’s JPCS program to a prospective student?
With the teachers that it has now... yes I would. I beleive that they do a very good job of bringing up the important points without letting the controversial stuff get in the way of learning.

How has the JPCS program shaped your life overall, spiritually and in other ways?
Mostly in how I look at the world. I have started to see more of the needs that exist and arn't met which allows me to determine how I can do somthing about the problem.

How has the JPCS program challenged you?
It has forced me to look hard at what I believe as well as forced me to think outside the box and come up with new ways to deal with issues.
