Lindsay MartinAbout her work at Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service:

Pace e Bene is a non-profit organization, based in California, devoted to promoting nonviolence.

"I stayed for a second year because I so believe in the mission and values of this organization - cultivating the spirituality and practice of active nonviolence as a way of living and being and as a process for cultural transformation. I became a nonviolence trainer and led more than 10 nonviolence workshops in many different settings. I had the opportunity to travel all over the US to help facilitate these workshops. And I hope the person who takes my place will have the skills and abilities that I had as a JPCS graduate at EMU, who is interested in facilitating and learning about nonviolence in many different contexts." About her preparation for her work:

"I'm so grateful for what I learned at EMU -- especially about group dynamics and facilitation. I cannot believe how much I have used in real group situations what I learned in classes."

After graduation, Lindsay juggled scholarship offers to study law at Georgetown, Duke, Berkeley, NYU and University of Pennsylvania. She is now a law student at the University of Pennsylvania.
