Eastern Mennonite University

Library Facilities

Computer Use

The Library Technology Classroom on the first floor is primarily for instructional use, but is available as a student lab when it is not scheduled for classes. You may check the schedule on the main floor of the library.

Network ports are available on all three floors of the library for laptop computers equipped with network cards. Ask at the Reference Desk for the locations.

Food & Drink

Food is not allowed in the library, since it greatly diminishes the lifespan of books and computers. However, we will allow drinks in travel mugs with tight-fitting lids. See the display of acceptable and unacceptable containers in the library foyer. Please be very careful.

Quiet Study Area

Please respect others' rights by being quiet in the library. The third floor west end (looking toward Lehman Auditorium) has been designated as a quiet study area. No talking is permitted there.

Study Rooms

The Presidents’ Room and two classrooms upstairs may be scheduled for group use. Call Physical Plant to schedule these rooms. There are several small study rooms, in the northwest corner of the third floor and on the west side of the first floor. These rooms may be used on a first-come, first-serve basis. For reservations of the Cue Room and Library Technology Classroom (LTC), ask at the Learning Resources desk.
