Floor
The top floor contains
items in the main collection with call numbers in the 000s (generalities), 100s
(philosophy and psychology), 200s (religion), 300s except 370s (social sciences),
400s (languages), 900s (geography and history), and Bs (biography).
Menno Simons Historical Library -- The Historical Library specializes
in research materials for the study of Anabaptists and Mennonites from the sixteenth
century to the present. Local history and genealogical materials for areas where
Mennonites have lived supplement the collection. These materials do not circulate.
Materials housed here are listed in the library catalog. Duplicate copies of
some materials found here are also in the circulating collection of the Main
Library. The Historical Library personnel are available to assist you in using
this special collection.
Presidents' Room --
This room contains the libraries of three former presidents of EMU. These items
are listed in the online catalog, but do not circulate except with special permission.
Reservations for the use of this room may be made through Physical Plant. When
the room is not scheduled, feel free to use it as a study area.
Art Gallery -- Throughout the academic year, the Art Gallery on the third
floor features exhibits of various forms of visual art. The final exhibit in
April showcases the work of EMU art students. Gallery hours coincide with library
hours.
