'Pop' Goes the Music

A fun evening of "orchestral pops" and jazz is coming up 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 27 at EMU.
The EMU orchestra, conducted by Dr. Joan Griffing, will perform Aaron Copland's "Rodeo Suite" and Georges Bizet's "L'Arlessienne Suite #2."
The EMU Jazz combo will play big band selections including Glenn Miller's "Moonlight Serenade" and accompany Jennifer Cooper, EMU voice instructor, in songs including "Send in the Clowns," "Love Changes Everything," "Mambo Italiano" and "I Got It Bad."
Admission to the concert is free. Donations are welcomed for the EMU music student scholarship fund.
