Nursing Society to Hold Fall Meeting
The fall program and induction of new members of the Pi Mu chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, an honorary nursing society, will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003 in Martin Chapel of the seminary building at Eastern Mennonite University.The program theme is, The Spirit of Nursing, providing an opportunity for nurses to discuss an often-neglected part of nursing science, art and practice.
Registration will be held 6-6:30 p.m., with refreshments served. The program and panel discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Linda Liskey, RN, BSN, will be the speaker. Ms. Liskey, who has spent many years in long-term care, is pursuing a masters degree in gerontology and has a special interest in spirituality in the elderly.
Thirty-two EMU and JMU nursing students and three community members will be inducted into the Honor Society during the induction ceremony that follows the program.
