Modules
Most of the course content in the EMU nursing program is presented as modules. Modules are units of didactic content. Each module has its own behavioral objectives and learning experiences.
Some modules are self-contained, independent study units. Others are taught in class over varying lengths of time. Alternatively, a combination of class and independent study may be used to learn the content in a module.
Examples of nursing modules are:
- Professionalism
- Physical Examination
- Nursing Research
- Nursing Process
- Helping the Hurting
- Leadership
- Physical Comfort and Safety
- The Health Care System
- etc.
Students then take these principles to the laboratory for practical experience.
