Art has 17 years of experience in planned giving. He served for 13 years with the American Bible Society. For seven years he was Director of the Planned Giving Field Staff, supervising 10 field staff across the country. Most recently he served four years as Director of Gift Planning for the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, Harrisonburg, VA.
For nine years he served as President of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. In that capacity he monitored the fund raising practices, governance, disclosure and financial integrity of hundreds of Christian organizations.
Art worked for three years as a representative of the government of Puerto Rico in Washington, DC.
He and his wife served in Latin America over 13 years. Most of that time he worked with the American Bible Society in recruiting and training nationals to run the local Bible society offices.
He has served on numerous national boards and task forces including being a member of the executive committee of the National Association of Evangelicals and a member of the board of directors of the Christian Management Association.
