General Course Recommendations
for Blue Ridge Community College Students

Considering a transfer to EMU to finish your bachelor's degree? Contact the EMU Admissions Office as early as possible during your Blue Ridge enrollment, preferably even before you begin your first semester at Blue Ridge. Tell us the major you want to complete at EMU, and we'll help you choose the courses which best fit your EMU degree requirements.

We'll also explain the Guaranteed Admission Agreement between Blue Ridge and EMU - a special arrangement that gives Blue Ridge students special advantages in the transfer process.

Programs in Business, Education, Nursing and Social Work require especially careful planning, so be in touch right away if you are thinking of one of these areas.

The course recommendations below provide a good start for many EMU programs. Use this list if you are thinking of taking just a couple of Blue Ridge courses before enrolling at EMU. Even if you are considering only a few courses, we encourage you to contact us for specific recommendations tailored to your interests and curriculum requirements.

We hope to hear from you soon at admiss@emu.edu, (540) 432-4118 or 1 (800) 368-2665.
