October 2013 Planning Update

Fundraising

EMU Suter Science Campaign gift plan

  • Alumni, donors, and foundations have already contributed $6,222,362 in current gifts and commitments for renovation/construction, plus $1.3 million in estate commitments for the Suter Science Center endowment fund.
  • To achieve a minimum of $7 million in current gifts and commitments for renovation/construction, we must raise at least $777,638 of additional cash commitments by December 31, 2013.
  • An anonymous donor has provided a challenge gift of $500,000 plus a private foundation has pledged $50,000. Both gifts require that EMU raise $2 for every $1 committed by these two donors. Over $150,000 of the matching funds have already been secured thanks to over 100 alumni and friends of EMU who have “stepped up” to meet the challenge!
