Fall: wrote two endorsing blurbs for books—What About Hitler? by Robert Brimlow (Brazos Press, 2006); Rethinking Christ and Culture by Craig A. Carter ( Brazos Press, 2006).
August 13, 2006: Preached at the installation service for Nelson Okanya, Capital Christian Fellowship, Maryland.
August 21, 2006: Served on committee for LeVon Smoker’s Master’s Thesis; oral defense on this day.

November 5, 2006: Spoke on homosexuality, Parkview Mennonite Church, Sunday School Class
February 21-23: served as one of five representatives for EMS at an Allelon meeting, Dallas, TX. This meeting with reps. from twenty-five seminaries was for helping us to understand what it means to be “missional” seminaries.
February 27, 2007: preached sermon, “My Tears Have Been My Food,” EMS Chapel
March 30, 2007: Served on committee for Rob Arner’s Master’s Thesis; oral defense on this day
Spring semester: directed Dan Umbel as he worked on a Master’s Thesis on Yoder and Barth; he finally abandoned the project; but we met many times to work on it
June 17, 2007: I preached at Ron Copeland’s licensing service, Community Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg (for serving in a new church plant, tentatively named “The Early Church”)
