MDiv- Eastern Mennonite Seminary – Harrisonburg, VA
Pastoral Intern at Mt. Clinton Mennonite Church
Residence Director at Eastern Mennonite University- Hillside Suites
While studying history at Goshen College— I gained a new appreciation for the Anabaptist- Mennonite story, and my own place in it. Shortly after college, I discerned a call to seminary to further my formation in Christian discipleship, and my participation and leadership in this particular Christian tradition.
Ideal Ministry Situation
After EMS, I will be doing a CPE residency at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. This will be a one year program.
After that, I hope to discern a call to a pastoral position in a MC USA congregation.
I have grown in important ways as a more informed Biblical interpreter, theologian, church historian, and practicing minister, especially through the Anabaptist lens that this institution is a part of. I’m very grateful for the emphasis that EMS puts on Christian formation and faithful living in the Kingdom of God. I thank the professors, staff, and my fellow peers for this worshiping and learning community.

Advice for Prospective Students
Take advantage of the chapels and times of fellowship with your seminary community. I believe those contexts are as much about your education, as the classroom is.
