Location

Eastern Mennonite Seminary is located at 1181 Smith Ave., Harrisonburg, Va., on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University. The school resides in the heart of the scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley and is conveniently reached by Interstate 81. Driving directions are available at emu.edu/map/virginia.

Registration

Complete and mail the enclosed registration form with your fees by noon on November 15, 2011, to obtain the lowest rate. Register online at emu.edu/seminary/slt/registration after October 1, 2011. Late registrations at a higher fee will be accepted if space is available.

Refunds

Before noon on November 15, 2011, cancellations will be refunded in full. After that date, $30 of the registration fee will be non-refundable until noon on December 31, 2011. No refunds will be made after January 1, 2012.

On-site registration

All registered participants are asked to check in between 5-6:45 p.m. on Monday, January 16, in the gathering area (second floor) of the seminary building. Packets will be distributed at that location. Light refreshments will be available.

Lodging

Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements. See emu.edu/accommodations for a list of local hotels and inns. Karen Weaver, EMU guest house hostess, may be contacted for information on accommodation in a limited number of local homes at 540-432-4280 or weaverk@emu.edu. Rates are $27.50 per night single occupancy and $42.50 per night double occupancy. For those who stay in a local home a $5 booking fee is added.

Food

Meals are available for purchase in the campus center dining hall located in Northlawn (dormitory): breakfast, $5.50; lunch, $6.50; dinner, $7.50. The Royals Den Snack Shop, located in the University Commons, is open daily Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. A local restaurant guide will be in your registration packet.

Parking

A paved lot to the south of the seminary building (bordering Mt Clinton Pike) and a gravel lot on the east side of Smith Avenue are available to SLT participants, faculty and students. Please park only in designated spaces and allow room for others to move out.
