Early in his ministry Jesus invited all who followed him to enter into a rhythm of life and ministry:
- To COME, turn aside from the events and activity of the daily and cross the threshold
- To BE WITH HIM, in conversation, listen, be known, and receive guidance
- And to be sent out and RESPOND to His call
In our active lives we tend to focus on the “being sent out into all the world” of Mark 16 and Matthew 28.
But Mark’s gospel draws our attention to how Jesus includes all three movements in the life of his followers: turning aside from daily activity to come to Jesus, learning to be with him, and then responding as Jesus companions and guides us for the inward and outward journey (see Mark 3:18,19).
We invite you to take some time each day for “S O U L S P A C E,” and receive guidance and support for your own rhythm and rule of life and prayer—as you sit at your computer, or make a copy to use elsewhere.
For general guidance about using “S O U L S P A C E” go to the Soul Guide. To begin the current week go to the buttons on the left side of the page or click here.
New this year! It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD...
And to sing praises to your Name, O Most High;
To tell of your loving-kindness early in the morning
And of your faithfulness in the night season.
Psalm 92:1,2
We have added morning and evening prayers to the rhythm of SoulSpace. You may continue to use SoulSpace as your did previously, but we have also included an option to follow morning and evening prayers in your daily prayer life. Links in the left hand navigation will lead you through morning and evening prayers.
