Traveling from the USA:

We would like to thank all of you who made the trip from the USA or Switzerland to join us on September 7. We had a wonderful time with all of you. It was great to see many of our friends from across the world together for the occasion.

We are sorry that for some of you the trip was longer than anticipated because of the events of September 11. Many of our friends from the US spent close to a week in London waiting to get back home. We know how frustrating (and expensive) that must have been. We are thankful, though, that eveyone arrived home safely (just a bit late).

I have left some of the old travel info on this page for those of you that are curious about what Sicily is like.

There are two major airports on the island of Sicily: Palermo (airport code: pmo) and Catania (airport code:cta). Of course, the Palermo airport will get you closer to your final destination. If you don't mind taking a 2 1/2 hour bus trip from Catania to Palermo, you may also consider flying into Catania. I have found a ticket for about $630 (plus tax) that will get you from Washington to Catania. You can find more information about this at: http://www.airvalues.com/
